3 New Kingdom Hearts Titles
My most humble apologies for the lack of news this month, I’ve been busy, busy, busy. Thankfully, we haven’t missed much. What I do have to share is a snippet from the Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Ultimania hand guide, translated by HEARTSTATION, with Tetsuya Nomura and his discussion on future titles.
Tetsuya Nomura Speaks
“About the next title, Kingdom Hearts 3 depends on Final Fantasy XIII Versus, but development of the next title is already underway. There are two titles other than Kingdom Hearts 3 in conception, and I think I’ll release one within this year.”
“As from next year, I want to put out a title with multiple main characters.”
“The series won’t end in Kingdom Hearts 3, more like the conclusion of the Xehanort saga.”
“It’s not the case that when Sora’s story is over another hero’s story will begin; Sora will be the hero until the end.”

There are so many possibilities for new storylines that I don’t even know where to begin speculating. I myself am quite interested in Nomura’s comment about XIII Versus and how a new Kingdom Hearts depended on it. Could this mean that the mysterious Noctis and his crew may appear in Sora’s world? I can only hope so. The sheer epic-ness leaves me speechless.

i reckon that SORA,KAIRI,RIKU,DONALD,GOOFY and KING MICKEY will all be playable during KH3…i hope the battle system is like FFXIII

FF13 was sweet and all. But come on. A Kingdom Hearts that plays like that? No thanks. I’d quit the series if that happened. I’m fond of the current style of play. Changing the combat system would be like releasing a Turn-Based “God of War”. Or a Card-Based “Devil May Cry”. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it.
KH3 releases September 2010 Sora is not the hero the Heroes are Ven (resembling Roxas), Aqua (resembling Kairi), and Terra (resembling Riku). The makers of KH said they want to give Sora a “break” for a little bit.

It’s actually called Birth By Sleep…not KH3. And we already posted an article about the release dates. September 7th and 10th (US and UK)

I don’t get it, why would they wait 4 years to start working on KH3, by the time its done 6 years will pass, im sorry thats wayyyyyy too long to wait. I probably wont even buy the game
i hope KH BBS is fun and really explains the events in kingdom hearts 2 and that it gives us a hint at the ending of BBS at wh at KH 3 will be like
6 years since KH2 came out. The fact that they’ve released two handheld titles since then makes the 6 year wait plausible. I’ll probably reserve the new KH games as soon as their announced for a NA release.
I cant tell you how happy i am to hear that Sora will be the hero all the way through! I cant stand it when a game series switches up the heroes it drives me nuts! Although i forgive it for BBS because they are just clearing up a few things and all
omg can’t wait till the new KH games come out. I really hope they r for ps3 but they probably are so thats hopefully not a problem. I wonder what the new areas/maps/themes/movies they r going to use but ya wat ever THIS IS AWESOME

I cant wait to get Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep later this year. But i have a question, Nomura said “…There are two titles other than Kingdom Hearts 3 in conception, and I think I’ll release one within this year.” What are these two titles? And does that mean there are 2 more new games beside Kingdom Hearts 3?
ok. lets get a couple things on the board here. 1) ive played FFXIII and if thats how there going to make the gameplay, then its not going to be very good sequal. Im not dissing FFXIII, its good and all, but i dont want to see that king of gameplay in KH3. 2)Yes i would like to play as other ppl in KH 3, but lets be honest. Sora kicks ass. Id like to play as Riku to but i just dont see it making a hit. 3) I wanna see some old worlds from the first one come back in the third one. worlds like wonderland and deep jungle. those were cool. the return to worlds thing was also pretty cool. id like to see more of that. 4) They wont be switching characters i saw unreleased gameplay from korea (or whereever it came from) and u play as sora. You open the game fighting terra or Aqua i cant remember. 5) Have something were if u go back to a world and u use the keyblade that u got from there, it gives u a boost of some sort. that would be cool. and maybe a speacial attk for each one. thats all i have to say, if there is anything else i will post it.
@Kyashi, There is a KH game coming out in September 2010, but it is called Birth By Sleep. It is for the PSP, and it does change the characters to the keyblade weilders who transfered to Sora, Riku, and Kairi, though I have heard that they appear as children in it.
I can not wait till 2012. I’m dieing here! I’ve played kingdom hearts 1 12 times, memories 6 times for both riku and sora, 358/2 days twice already *and I only had it for a month with pokemon to keep me occupied*, and kingdom hearts 23 times! I’m going stir crazy.

From what we can all tell, yes, a Kingdom Hearts 3 is supposed to eventually come out (dependent on FF Versus XIII, according to Nomura) but he also has ‘two others’ where Sora is not the main character…. what they are…. well, that’s anyone’s guess.

Alright to clear everything out for you guys due to the fact I have completed Birth By Sleep already.
SPOILERS, DO NOT READ AHEAD IF YOU WISH.
1. Birth by Sleep Includes Sora but only for a few minutes. Sora is displayed at the age of approximately 4, along with Riku who is abit older I believe. Though the reasons that they are displayed in the game, I will leave out so that it doesn’t spoil everything so much.
Thus, BBS is the the past before Sora was considered to be important at all.
2. The 3 warriors with keyblades are not Sora, Riku or whoever you may think it is from KH1 or KH2. They can be considered the predecessors to the current warriors you know already. Their names are Ven (The Roxas/Sora look alike. Ventus is his full name. His relation to the story will be explained for you guys in game cause I don’t want to spill so much out. The other two are Aqua and Terra.)
3. Xehanort : Existed back then. Now realize this, how in KH2, the Organization XIII’s leader resembles Terra.
There’s a reason to that. I’ll let you put your brain and come up with conclusions.
4. Xehanort’s sidekick (In the trailer, walking alongside Xehanort, the guy in red) : I can’t really say much about him without spoiling it entirely at all. Actually, just consider him a “inner struggle.”
oh god the xehanort saga is still not over? damn im tired of xehanort being the main villain in all kh series. i just hope he wont be involved as a boss for a fourth time -_- i still think it will be a great game tho
Okay, there is alot of confusion who got what and how things happened. I’m gonna clear up a little bit of it.
LOTS OF SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!
1) Bald guy is indeed Xehanort. Back before Sora, Riku, and Kairi were even skilled enough to carry a keyblade he was the main sick sadistic prick of the game. And just like the past villains of the KH series he is set on getting kingdom hearts.
2)The sidekick. Not much can be said about him. Vieteran said it best when he said, “inner struggle”. Think about what Riku was going through in KH2, and the events that went on in KH 358/2. That should drop a good hint for those who were basically like “durrr”
3) Terra is not Riku nor is he related to Riku in any certain way shape or form. Terra is Terra and Riku is Riku. Terra saw a glimpse of what Riku would become and entrusted his “Power” with him. In KH Ansem knew this and used that to his advantage, and remember Riku went willingly for the simple fact that he thought (And this will be explained in a later game) that Ansem was indeed Terra.
4)Terra turns into a what we learned to be Xemnas. Xehanort was one of the real Ansem’s helpers (Diz) and judging by the eyes on the helper…it wasn’t the possessed Terra. Its kinda confusing because of the whole name thing but look back at all the games. Remember detail and you will see. Yes, Xehanort was the old bald man, Ansem (KH1) is Xehanorts heartless. And Xemnas is the product of Terra getting possessed.
5) Terra’s powers were entrusted to Riku. Ventus’ powers were entrusted to Sora (Duh that is why Roxas looks like Ven). Aqua entrusted her powers to Kairi for the simple fact that Kairi was indeed the “marker” For both Riku and Sora. Both of their light if you will. They will both always find their way back to her.
6)They will not change the playing style similar to FFXIII for the simple fact that its not KH style. Even though yes they used FF characters in KH. The wouldn’t mimic another product. Its not Square Enix’s style. Look at all the games they came out with starting from FF, Xenogears, Star Ocean, KH, etc. All of them have different playing styles. (Even though some of them are similar, its still different). And like was said earlier. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it.
In conclusion,
Don’t worry about KH3. They won’t change anything from the KH style. Possible different character stories as they pulled with KH BBS. More of the KH story will be explained of course and all in all it will be an awesome game. If you think I’m wrong about anything just let me know.

KINGDOM HEARTS 3!!!!!1 FINALLY! I have been waiting for news on that for what feels like FOREVER. I am positive that ALL Kingdom Hearts fans will be very, very pleased. Thank you for posting this.
One of the Kingdom Hearts games coming out soon was revealed at E3 for the Nintendo 3DS. From the screens I’ve seen it stars Riku, and I think perhaps it’s KH1 from Riku’s side.

The letter to Sora from King Mickey is a request for help, to save Aqua, Ventus, and Terra from their individual fates.
3: I hope they don’t change the fighting system to ANYTHING off FF. KH has to remain KH.

kh3 will be awsome but he didnt say he was making two other kh games besides 3 just two other games which he clarified during an interview lol
KH BBS: will be released on 7 september. I think KH3 The Keyblade Wars will be released in 2011( I Hope so).
If somebody knows the exact date of KH3 The Keyblade wars let me now please.
kingdom hearts 3 would be even better instead of going to the disney worlds, Sora would go to square enix’s like FF7 and xenogears now that would win game of the year no doubt!!!!
