Spammers fail at helping, so I'll ask some cool kids instead.
_____________________ I want to get into reading again, I've got no books at my place so I'll have to buy or borrow some. Quickly saying, I need some recommendations of titles you favour with a short summary of it and how much you liked it. Preferably stand alone reads instead of series, but it doesn't matter too much. Responses appreciated. _____________________ One more question, anyone read Parasite Eve by Hideaki Sena? I'm ordering a copy now for the sake of Parasite Eve. Good read?

Ishmael by Daniel Quinn
Wheel of Time series (First book Eye of the World) by Robert Jordan Sword of Truth series (First book Wizard's First Rule) by Terry Goodkind If you want something more challenging you could read The Three Musketeers by Alexander Dumas or do what I am and read some Stephan King. Reading his Dark Tower series, the first book is called The Gunslinger.

The Dark Hunter Novels, by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The first is called Fantasy Lover. Great books if you love vampires and Greek Mythology.

I KNEW IT!! I saw a Kenyon reference in one of your posts recently! D< Sneaky little devil you! Haven't read much of the Dark Hunter series, just Acheron. !! That's it you posted about Styxx, that's how I knew (or rather figured). Reading The League series by her. It's different.

try the Inheiritance Cycle books; Eragon, Eldest, and Brisngr
they're a pretty good read and a fourth(likely final) book is on the way

You could try reading Thr3e by Ted Dekker. Its a really odd kind of book and you have to refrain from reading the last page because it will spoil the whole book! But its one of those keep you reading until morning books. I cold say others but they are part of series and I'm too tired to think of any other singular books right now. I'll think of more later maybe :/

I enjoyed The Magicians by Lev Grossman. It's kind of like Harry Potter in college, with the drugs, booze, and sex thrown in, with a good bit of Narnia mixed in as well.
I don't know what you're interested in, so I'm not really sure what to suggest. But this is a stand alone novel I read recently, and I thought it was pretty good. It's just over 400 pages, but it went by quick.

I agree on the Cirque du Freak series. (I just finished them :3) Not too hard of a read, but enough to keep you going.
You could never go wrong with The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. It's more of a mystery than the play or the movie, so if you're in to that kind of thing it's a great read.
