Most Hated FF Character

C'mon, there's gotta be that one character who makes you cringe when he opens his mouth, whose stupid face makes you want to just shut off the television. So who's yours?

Me, I'm gonna have to choose between Wakka and Irvine, honors to Rikku. Wakka had the worst voice actor ever. He looked stupid and his judgemental nature made everything he said irritating to me. Irvine looked like a freak, with his weird Michael Jackson face, and I hate limit breaks that require you to spend items to use them. Something about him rubbed me the wrong way from the first time he was introduced in the game. And as for Rikku, all I have to say is FFX-2.

Oh, it has to be Wakka. I'll disagree with you on the voice actor though. I found Wakka to be a really annoying character, but the voice actor did the part well and consistently. I just didn't like the part.

Honors to Cait Sith. That thing was absolutely useless.

Hey, Wakka is kinda cool, but you gotta hate Vaan, yeah he's a hero but.. I just don't like him

Probably Cloud, he features almost a total lack of character development, and yet somehow he manages to retain a high level of popularity. Cloud is a symbol of the modern gamer's stupidity.

It is for that very reason that, despite popular opinion, FFIX will always be a better game than FFVII. Every character in FFIX undergoes development throughout the story, soem small, most massive. Pretty much none of the characters in FFVII do. This does not make FFVII a bad game, just not as good of one as people make it out to be.

That being said, I think I'll tack Heidegger and Scarlet on to the list of characters that I hate. Those two were beyond annoying every step of that way in that game.

@EbAl: I'll agree that Wakka's voice actor did a good job of being Wakka and the accent fit well with the persona, but the voice itself just annoyed me. Personal opinion.

And Cait Sith was not useless. You wouldn't have been able to get the black materia without him. And I'm not ashamed to admit I got teary eyed when I thought he'd died. And Reeve is a hottie, no matter how stupid looking his robot counterpart may be.

I was referring to Cait Sith as useless in gameplay actually. Normally that wouldn't make someone worth putting down on my worst character list, but since I'm not too crazy about him otherwise, it's enough to mention.

^His magic stat is actually pretty high. If you're big on materia casting, he'd be a decent player. 'Course, his limits suck.

I'm more of a brute force type in FFVII, so I stick with Red XIII and Barret.

I also find Yuffie quite annoying. She says the dumbest things all the time, not to mention she steals from you. She is useful for morphing though.

The dumbest character award has to go to Tidus. He said the stupidest, most cringeworthy things. I actually liked Yuffie, but I did want to put my fist through the tv screen when she stole that materia. And again when she gives it back, but puts it all on the wrong person. <_<
