What promise?!?!?!?!

Okay, as most of us know, Roxas' theme is named "The Other Promise" (AWSOME song btw), but which promise do u think it is refering 2? the promise 2 Namine, the promise 2 Axel, or the promise 2 Xion? *Note: this thread is purely opinion based, no extensive fights please ^^

well, seeing as how roxas wasn't introduced until the third game (kh, khCoM, kh2) i guess it's the promise to Namine

Barely. But unless Roxas's theme was played at that part, then the promise is probably refering to Namine.

Btw, at first I thought x3pic was talking about Vexen's conversation to Sora, but then I remembered the absolute last moment of the final ending credits.

Roxas didn't make his first appearance in CoM. Roxas made his first appearance in the KH1 secret movie with his fight against the Neoshadows. we didn't know who he was, but that was his real first appearance.

My best guess would be the promise to Namine because Namine was taken from Roxas Namine promised they would meet again.

Well, here's what I always thought, actually.

The "Main" Promise: Sora's promise to see Kairi again.
The "Other" Promise: Axel and Roxas' promise to "meet again in the next life."

The fight between them is pretty much a clash between the two. Sora's racing for the Castle, looking to save Kairi, but Roxas is right there saying, "Hold up. You just cost me my happy ending." He'd been waiting for Axel, just like he promised, but...whoops. Look how that turned out. >_>

Of course, they have their true "other life" meeting afterwards, so happy endings all around.

But then again, with a promise-heavy series like this, something as vague as "the other" one could refer to about a dozen different things. XD

i'm sorry if this post is to late, if it is u can remove it. i think by "the other promise" it's talking about the promise roxas made to haner, seems how the haner he knew never really existed it would be the promise that was never fulfilled or "the other promise" but that's just my opinion.
