Terra and Xehanort.
Ok, so first Master Xehanort's soul gets put into Terra to try and make him submit to the darkness. Ven eventualy gets it out of him and into himself (Read below for more on Ven). But, there is still a little bit left in him.

Later, after the big fight, Terra is unconsious. He is found by Ansem and all he can remember is the one he was fighting before he went out. Xehanort. Ansem then raises him back to health and recruits him as his assistant. Xehanort then messes with the darkness and becomes a heartless. (and a nobody) As a heartless he brings out the darkness burried in his heart, which is Master Xehanort. That is why they have the same clothes.


Ven, Roxas, and Sora.
So, Ven gets Master Xehanort's soul or whatever put into him. He then wants to be deleted so he doesnt turn to the darkness. But, part of him gets put into young Sora.

Later, Sora makes his Nobody, Roxas, which takes the form of what part of Ven was put in him.

EDIT: Also just a side note, Riku can have a keyblade and actualy take it from Sora near the end of KH1 because Terra originaly wanted Riku to be one of the next Keyblade masters from watching him spar with Sora when they were young. But, King Mickey saw the darkness already in Riku and decided to give the responsibility of the Keyblade to Sora, last minute.

Souls cant do that.

Why does Terra look different then and Xehanort only remembered the name Xehanort. How is a soul going to bring out darkness within terra heart which is MX doesnt make sense.

We dont know if souls can carry darkness or go into a person. Ven going into sora how.

Riku's heart was stronger than sora thats why he got the keyblade back in Hollow Bastion but then Sora heart was eventually stronger than riku's permanently staying with sora.

But, King Mickey saw the darkness already in Riku and decided to give the responsibility of the Keyblade to Sora, last minute.

Mickey doesnt have that ability.

Needs a little work, and keybladelegacy, if you read the thing as a whole it will answer some of your questions. But yes this theory does have holes in it, but back to keybladelegacy, we still don't know that much about what souls can do in the KH universe, so dont bash the soul part.

Well we havent heard that souls contain any light or darkness. Thats what the heart is for. Also who said souls chooses where they go. Hearts cant even do that.

Also I dont see him specifically stating Terra changes appearance,soul bringing out darkness if that could happen then everyones darkness would be brought out, last I was asking what part of ven was put into sora.
