Hey everyone. Well Since I have my own copy of Birth By Sleep I figured I would post a list of Bosses and the Strategy I used to beat each one. This thread will be updated as I complete the game.
Terra's Story: Boss Battle 1: Aqua HP: 25 Recommended Level: 1 Location of Boss: Land of Departure This first boss appears during the Tutorial of the game. As Terra you are much slower than Aqua and Ven, but luckily you have dash to make up for that. Aqua is a long Range fighter, so make sure to dodge. Use Dash to get up close to Aqua and take her down with Terra's powerful physical attacks. Being the first boss Aqua is very easy so you shouldn't have any trouble at all. -------------------------------- Boss Battle 2: Wheel Master HP: Torso: 400/Spindle: 250/Spinning Wheel: 250 Recommended Level: 4 or 5 Location of Boss: Enchanted Dominion While it is not neccessary to destroy the spindle and Spinning Wheel to win, I highly recommened that you do anyways as it will make the battle easier. Watch out for the spindle because it can trap you in it's thread. If you do become trapped in the thread keep pressing the circle button to escape. Lock onto the spindle and use a few physical attacks then get away from the wheel master. Watch out for the spinning wheel because this boss can throw it at you which can cause alot of damage. Dodge the wheel if the you see the boss start to spin it's body around. Be careful though because the spinning wheel can move around on it's own seperate from the boss so be mindful of that. Fill your command gauge, hopefully you will be able to enter Fire Blazer mode. Once in Fire Blazer go all out and destroy the spindle. With the spindle gone it's time to focus on the spinning wheel. If you find it laying flat on the ground bash away at it until it's gone, if you see it moving around the room wait until it returns to the torso then use fire blazer to destroy it. With both the spinning wheel and the spindle gone, it's time to destroy the torso. The torso now only has a charge attack and a jump attack, both of which can be dodged fairly easy. So go all out on the torso and the wheel master will fall. ------------------------------- Boss Battle 3: Magic Mirror HP: 300 Recommended Level: 8 Location of Boss: Dwarf Woodland This boss is slightly easier than Wheel Master simply because it has less HP than Wheel Master. The Magic Mirror is a tricky boss to deal with because it can create many copies of itself. You will need to find the real magic mirror and there is an easy way how. The real magic mirror is the only face that is smiling, once you find it attack it and get in a quick combo. Watch out though, when the mirror summons copies of itself all of the copies will shoot out fire from their mouth and if your not careful you can end up being barraged by the many fire spells which is basicaly a death sentence. So make sure to heal when needed. Stay focused, heal when needed and remember that your real target is the magic mirror who is smiling. ------------------------------------- Boss Battle 4: Symphony Master: HP: Symphony Master: 450/Instruments: 200 a piece Recommended Level: 12 Location of Boss: Castle Of Dreams Make sure you destroy the 3 instruments that the Symphony Master commands. I would take out the trumphet first as it seems to be the most annoying one. Then take out the drum and then the violin, you may need to heal while destroying the instruments. Once the instruments are gone the symphony master will be pretty simple to defeat. Just keep bashing at it and this boss will soon fall. ---------------------------------- Boss Battle 5: Trinity Armor HP: Torso: 800/Arms: 800/Legs: 800 Recommended Level: 15-16 Location of Boss: Radiant Gardens Don't be afraid of this bosses massive HP, because Aqua and Ven are here to help as party members. Lock on to the Legs first and just start attacking all out. This boss has strong attacks all around but as long as you have a way to heal quickly those shouldn't be a problem. Once the legs are gone, start beating up the arms. After the arms have fallen the torso is all yours, with Aqua and Ven's help this boss should fall soon. ---------------------------------------- Boss Battle 6: Braig HP: 600 Recommended Level 17-18 Location of Boss: Radiant Gardens That's right folks, the human form of Xigbar is a boss. This guy is probably the hardest boss so far. Braig is a long range fighter, he uses a pair of cross bow like guns. Use dash to dodge his dark bullets. Wait until Braig as stopped firing bullets and is reloading to attack him. You can try to attack Braig while he is floating in the air but he will probably teleport away from you before you can reach him which can leave you wide open for him to do some pretty good damage to you. The best time to attack him is when he is on the ground, he will stand there just long enough for you to get to him and land a powerful combo on him. But stay focused, you will need to dodge alot in this battle. Once you Braig's HP down some he will start to charge his guns, while it looks like he would be an easy target while charging do not go after him. Wait for him to fire his powerfully charged attack and then dodge it. You can block Braig's bullets which will cause them to damage Braig but you may also take some damage to yourself as well. When Braig enters sniper mode you must continualy use dash to dodge his bullets or it could be a death trap for you. Once he is out of sniper mode, keep repeating the same strategy show above, dodge, attack when you see an opening, use block send Braig's bullets back at him, and heal when needed. You must fight conservatively. --------------------------------- Boss Battle 7: Experiment 221 HP: 500 Recommended Level: 21-22 Location of Boss: Deep Space Experiment 221 is Stitch's electrified cousin. This boss is probably slightly more difficult than Braig. This bosses uses a dash attack that can become annoying after awhile. The thing that makes Experiment 221 really hard is that he is hard to catch which means you will have problems trying to hit him. Sometimes sparky will go to the center of the area and summon electric balls of energy, it's best if you block these orbs which will knock them back at Experiment 221 and stun him for a few seconds. Take this oppurtunity to land a few hits on Experiment 221. Once the boss has lost a certain amount of HP he will posses the two laser canons in the room. You can attack these canons but I recommened you just keep dodging the laser fire until Experiment 221 reamerges from the canons. Be careful though because usualy when this boss comes out of the canons it will start throwing huge orbs of energy at you. Use dash to dodge the orb and then jump to avoid the shock wave it leaves behind. Use Sonic Raid to hit this boss from long range. Attack this boss when ever you can, always be ready to dodge, and heal when needed. ------------------------------------ Part 2 of Terra's boss list coming soon. |

Terra's Story Part 2:
Boss Battle 8: Zack HP: 600 Recommened Level: 23 Location of Boss: Olympus Coliseum That's right, everyone's favorite SOLDIER makes his first Kingdom Hearts appearances in Birth By Sleep. This battle is simply the precurssor to a much tougher battle. Zack's attacks are mostly physical and can be dodged easily so just bash away at Zack until the battle ends. -------------------------------- Boss Battle 9: Dark Zack HP: 600 Recommended Level: 27-28 Location of Boss: Olympus Coliseum This battle takes place immediatly after the first battle with Zack. This time Zack is powered up by darkness and now he showing off a new arsenal of attacks that are all heavy hitters. Dark Zack is definantly the toughest boss so far. Zack's most deadly attack is his version of what seems to be omnislash. This attack and mean instant death if your HP isn't full. As soon as Zack's omnislash like attack is finished he will stop moving allowing you to get some damage on him. You should stay away from Zack as much as possible and only attack him when he lowers his head and stops moving. If you are on low health and have no way to heal then use your shot lock attack to deal a good amount of damage to Zack while preventing him from damaging you. Also watch out for Zack's meteor attack. Make sure you have some potions along with atleast one cure spell in your deck for this battle. Blade Charge is also a good way to damage Zack. --------------------------------------- Boss Battle 10: Peter Pan HP: 700 Recommended Level: 29-30 Location of Boss: Neverland Peter Pan isn't too difficult but he his a hard hitter. Like with Experiment 221 it can be difficult to hit Peter Pan. Peter likes to remain in the air and fly away from Terra, which keeps him out of range from Terra's attacks. Luckily you have shot Lock, use your Shot Lock attack to get some good damage on Peter Pan. Always try to dodge Peter Pan's attacks as he can do a good amount of damage to you. Attack when you can and dodge Peter Pan's attacks, and the difficulty of this boss should be reduced some. ----------------------------------- Boss Battle 11: Master Eraqus HP: 750 Recommended Level: 35 Location of Boss: Land of Departure Ah yes apprentice vs Master, and it's a tough battle to be sure. Being a keyblade master Eraqus is one of the toughest bosses in the game. Eraqus is fast and strong, he can easily kill you is you're not carefull. Once again you need to use Shot Lock, this will do a good bit of damage to Eraqus. After that keep away from Eraqus at all cost or you're pretty much dead. You should use dark impulse mode any chance you get, this will make your attacks stronger and give you a new command deck with attacks of course associatied with darkness. If you get caught in Eraqus's fast and powerful combos try to guard against him. This will cause the "Relfect" reaction command to pop up so press circle when it appears on the screen and counter attack Eraqus. This will catch Eraqus off gaurd for a moment allowing you to do your own physical combo on him. After taking a certain amount of damage Eraqus will start using an flame attack that causes pillars of fire to shoot up from the ground and follow Terra. Just keep running away from the pillars of fire and you should be safe. Master Eraqus' most powerful attack is one where he summons blades of light that will spin around in a circle. Keep between two of the blades and run just enough to where you don't get cut and you can avoid this attack. Finish Master Eraqus off with a final shot Lock attack. ---------------------------------- Boss Battle 12: Master Xehanort and Vanitas HP: Master Xehanort: 900/Vanitas: 550 Recommended Level: 37 Location of Boss: Keyblade Graveyard This battle can be difficult if you don't not fight with cautious. While your first inpulse would be to attack Master Xehanort you should instead lock on to Vanitas and go after him. All you need to do to end this battle is keep attacking Vanitas until he loses a portion of his HP, about 300 HP or so. You should immediatly use the Aqua D-Link, the Ven D-Link is good too but I prefer to use Aqua D-Link. So use the Aqua D-Link magic deck, make sure to save your cura spell for an emergency. After taking down a portion of Vanitas' HP the battle will come to an end. ---------------------------------- Boss Battle 13: Master Xehanort HP: 900 Recommended Level: 37-38 Location of Boss: Keyblade Graveyard Master Xehanort is a powerful opponent. Master Xehanort can use a physical combo that ends with him casting a blizzard spell. This can be avoided by using Dash. Master Xehanort has a tendecy to stand still for a few second but usualy your too busy dodging either his earth shatter attack or his keyblade whirlwind attack. Attack Master Xehanort whenever you get the chance while dodging Master Xehanort's attacks. Use D-Links and different modes to damage MX even more. As long as you stayed well healed, Master Xehanort should soon fall. ----------------------------------- Boss Battle 14: Master Xehanort possesing Terra's Body HP: 1000 Recommended Level: 40 Location of Boss: Keyblade Graveyard Yep Master Xehanort pulled the old switch body tactics. Well now it seems Master Xehanort's Heart is in control of Terra's body and yes this is how the younger Xehanort who became Ansem's apprentices came into existence. Now some part of Terra has been placed inside of his armor, so now you are playing as Terra's armor. From this battle I will refer to the boss as Terranort and I will refer to Terra's armor as LS meaning Lingering Sentiment. Terranort uses all of the same attacks that Terra could use except they are much more darker. Like in the battles with Master Xehanort and Master Eraqus, the reflect reaction command can be used in this battle. Terranort can dash in flash, his physical combos can be a killer. The attack you should really watch out for is his meteor attack which can be dodged by using dash. You can't use D-Links and even though you can use shoot lock, it seems that shot lock can't actually do damage to Terranort. Another of Terranort's physical combos ends with him shooting a dark claw from his keyblade, please try to avoid this as it will cause alot of damage. The best way to damage Terranort is to attack him whenever you see an opening and to use the reflect reaction command whenever you block one of his combos. Keep that up and make sure you only heal when on low health and you should be able to pull off a win. --------------------------------------------- And that's it folks. You have just defeated the final boss in Terra's scenario. With that done it's time to go off and play as Ven or Aqua. I would tell you how Terra's story ends but you can go play the game yourselves ya lazy bums ![]() -------------------------------------------- Ven's Story Boss List will be up tomorrow. Ven's Story:
Boss Battle 1:Terra HP: 25 Recommended Level: 1 Location of Boss: Land of Departure Terra may be stronger than you but you have speed on your side. Dodge Roll over to Terra while avoiding his physical attack then go all out on him with a combo of your own. This boss should be easy. --------------------------------- Boss Battle 2: The Seven Drawves HP: 25 per dwarf Recommended Level: 1 Location of Boss: Dwarf Woodland This is probably the easiest boss battle in the whole game. The dwarves don't even fight back. All you need to do is attack the boxes or rail carts they are hiding in to find them. Once you find all the dwarves the battle comes to an end. -------------------------------- Boss Battle 3: Mad Treant HP: 300 Recommended Level: 4 Location of Boss: Dwarf Woodland The Mad Treant is a tree like unversed. This boss likes to jump around alot to avoid your damage but still that shouldn't be too difficutl to deal with. Make sure you use shoot Lock to avoid taking damage from this giant tree's all round explosion attack which can be an instant death to you. Fill up your command guage to enter speed rave and go all out on this boss, you may need to use another shoot lock attack to finish him off but soon enough this boss will fall. ------------------------------ Boss Battle 4: Lucifer the Cat HP: 400 Recommended Level: 7 Location of Boss: Castle of Dreams Well as you may have noticed, you have been reduced to the size of a mouse. Lucifer is a cat so he loves to claw you. His claws can do a nasty bit of damage so try to dodge or block his claws whenever you can or you will be trying to heal yourself alot. Sometimes Lucifer will jump on the funiture and then land back on the floor causing a shock wave that can deal some damage to you so dodge it. When Lucifer gets tired you will have the chance to use a reaction command where you can ride on the back of this fluffy kitty. Once Lucifer has lost enough health use a shoot Lock to finish of the terrible feline. ------------------------------- Boss Battle 5: Goblin Ambush HP: 15 per Goblin Recommended Level: 8 Location of Boss: Enchanted Dominion I'm not even sure if this is actually considered a boss battle but oh well. You have fought Maleficent's little goblin henchmen before but this time they come in big numbers. Just use speed rave and shoot lock to end this battle quickly. ---------------------------------- Boss Battle 6: Maleficent HP: 450 Recommended Level: 12-13 Location of Boss: Enchanted Dominion Yep the old hag herself is back for another Kingdom Hearts Game. Maleficent isn't too difficult of a boss depending on how well you can keep up. Maleficent likes to teleport across the room alot so if you can get to her before she teleports and do some damage you should be fine. Maleficent uses a thunder attack that can be dangerous if you get caught in it. So make sure you are ready to heal after being hit by her thunder magic. Maleficent usualy chants a spell before casting her magic so as soon as she finishes her chant dodge roll out of the way to avoid her zaps of magic. Sometimes Maleficent will teleport to the center of the area where she will cast an aura that will stun you. You can avoid this by walking over to where the three good fairies are and activate a series of reaction commands that appear on the screen. At the end of the series of reaction commands the three good fairies will stun Maleifcent allowing you to get a good amount of damage on her. Sometimes Maleficent will transform into a spinning ball of light that if hits you will damage you so try to avoid her when she is in this form. Finish Maleficent off with a final shoot lock attack. Aqua D-Link is also an excellent option to use in this battle. ------------------------------------ Boss Battle 7: Vanitas HP: 550 Recommended Level: 14-15 Location of Boss: Keyblade Graveyard Try to avoid Vanitas' attacks at all cost until time is up because soon a cutscene will take place. ------------------------------------- Boss Battle 8: Vanitas HP: 550 Recommended Level: 14-15 Location of Boss: Keyblade Graveyard This battle takes place right after the cutscene I mentioned. Mickey is teamed with you to help you take out Vanitas and you are going to need all the help you can get. Always be ready to dodge in this battle because Vanitas is incredibly fast and strong. If you need to you may want to go level up some more before taking on this boss. If you need to heal in this battle and trust me you are going to need to heal, then do so quickly and be ready to dodge one of his attacks. Now whatever you do, never ever do a 3 hit combo on this guy. After doing 2 hits on this guy dodge immediatly cause after doing 2 hits on Vanitas he will leave an after image of himself and attack from the air. There is not a 100% chance you can dodge this attack but atleast try. Sometimes you can activate a reaction command with Mickey called "Holy Burtst" this will deal a nice bit of damage to Vanitas. If you get the chance to shoot Lock do it immediatly. Also dodge Vanitas' triple fire ball homing attack, if these fire balls hit you it will do alot of damage and usualy Vanitas' follows up with a 3 hit combo so that pretty much spells death for you. If Vanitas is low on health finish him off with a shoot lock and that should finish this battle. ------------------------------------------- Part 2 of Ven's boss list will be posted later today.
