Well now we have our own Digital Showcase section, and I have recently become mod I've decided to make a sig tut (signature tutorial).

This is for those who have photoshop, if your using another image editor program I'm not sure this will come of any use. Still, you can get some ideas. A 10 step tut, enjoy!

Today I will be going through step by step on how to create this signature :

I will rate this tutorial easy, because it uses basic skill. Depends on how much experience you have on photoshop. Please do not redistribute this tutorial without my permission (:

Step 1. Open photoshop and click New. Select how big you want your sig to be. I have used a 420x130 for this sig.



Note. Ensure the background is black, for this particular sig.


Step 2. Find your render you will be using. I have chosen a Rozen Maiden one. Adjust size to how you would like it to fit in your signature. I have chosen to center mine.



Step 3. Find a background which compliments your signature. I have used a space background, using adjustments on photoshop i have altered the hue to make it more purple. Following a purple scheme.



Note. Make sure the background is on a seperate layer, than place it below your render layer.

Step 4. Getting a much softer brush choose either a much darker or lighter color, one which is visible against your render. Change the opacity 75% and Flow 86%. We are now going to add a smokey effect behind the render.



Note. Keep the flow of the image in one direction And do this on seperate layer.

Step 5. Move the layer under the render layer:



Step 6. Using an eclipse marquee tool out line a semi circle where desired. Go to Edit> Stroke and click width 3. This will now give you a white line depending on color you have chosen. You can also do this on other layers.



Step 7. By changing the blend option for the layer with the curved line, choose outer glow to give it a better look. You can also change the color of the glow.



Step 8. by going on Filter>Distort> Ripple (or just experiment) You can now manupliate the curves you have recently created.



Step 9. Using your render on another additional layer you can liquify it and add it as an additional feature.


Note. Delete all unwanted areas

Step 10. Add text to your liking, use the dodge and burn tools to change lightning around the sig. Add your own additional little bits. And your done!

Um... Did you went pro on this? I use photobucket, but I don't have the pro edition.

Ok. Just wanted to know. Um. WHich one is better? I wanted to make sure since I'm going it'll be my first time trying to make sigs & av's. I'm real confuse on Step 4 when you said keep the flow go in one direction. What do you mean by that?

Like the flow of the picture, when looking at an image there is usually a direction it follows. Thats usually the flow, for instance if in a image everything is going verticly down, putting something randomly horizontal doesnt make much sense. Unless it was specificly going to make an impact.

Ok. Is there's anything that I need to know while using photobucket cs2 while I'm about to use it?

Your using photobucket or photoshop? They are two different programs. Although i thought photobucket was an online thing =S
